Meeting of the 11th GAMM workshop on phase-field modeling organized and hosted by NMO and IMFD, TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
25.–27. February 2026 — Freiberg, Germany
Based in the GAMM Activity Group on Phase-Field Modelling, the workshop aims to attract an interdisciplinary group of researchers from the fields of mathematics, materials science and mechanics.
The thematic spectrum includes formulations for solidification processes and general phase transformations, as well as modelling approaches in areas such as fracture mechanics, wetting and topology optimisation, including their numerical implementation.
Besides the scientific exchange, the workshop serves as a basis to plan and discuss joint activities within the Activity Group as well as the organisation of mini-symposia at international conferences, international workshops, and special issues in specialist journals.
