The aim of the project is to develop and evaluate a multifunctional exhaust gas aftertreatment system for natural gas and biogas-powered mini CHP units to satisfy the NOx, HCHO and CO emission limits of the BImSchV.
To this end, a new type of precious metal-free catalyst for HCHO and CO removal is being researched, which is cost-effective, stable over the long term and toxicologically harmless. For NOx reduction, the established
SCR technology is being adapted. The overall system is being evaluated using a demonstrator.
