Performance for the exhibition IN TRANSITION by Walter Maria Padao at ZeHS
With Georg Wieland Wagner (percussion), Coco Lau (vocals) and the dancer Helena Fernandino, Walter Padao has found congenial performers for the performance IN TRANSITION at the ZeHS of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. The performers do not plan, they improvise; they formulate a new language, so to speak. Ultimately, inner processes and subtle reinventions of artistic communication are made visible. Because at the end of the performance is the lasting trace of the experience: the painting!
Technically, influences of digital "new" media on the painting process, the character of the performance and the exhibition come to bear during the performance. Projections onto the painting surface, which is filmed at the same time, create an alienating feedback system - and the possibility of visually bringing the past back into the process and thus crossing time dimensions.
