Top up credit

Staff at the University Library cannot take credit top-ups for you.

Electronic top-up

Log in to the PaperCut portal and select the "Add credit" function. Select the desired amount. The following options are available for online top-ups:

  • PayPal account: follow the instructions of "Log in to PayPal"
  • Credit card/Debit card (no PayPal account required): select "Pay with credit or 
    debit card", then select the tab "Credit card"

The login is done with Shibboleth and the central access data of TUBAF.

Cash top-up

It is not possible to top up credit directly with cash. However, you can purchase a PaperCut card with cash (5 EUR or 10 EUR) at the lending and information desk and use this voucher code to top up credit.

Transferring credit

It is possible to send credit to another user via the PaperCut portal. If the recipient is a TUBAF member, the user name (e.g. "ab12cdef") must be used in the Transfer to user field. For guests of the University Library, the card serial number must be used.

For login, please use the library number as the username. The password is the card serial number by default. Both details can be found on the back of your library card. If this is no longer visible on the back of the card, it can be requested at the circulation and information desk.

Scanning instructions

  • Log in to the printer by placing your student or employee ID card or guest card on the card reader. The PaperCut app on the printer will open automatically.
  • Connect the storage device on the left-hand side of the display
  • Button Device functions, then button Print/Scan (storage device)
  • Follow the instructions on the display
  • Please use Logout when you leave the device!
  • Log in to the printer by placing your student or employee ID card or guest card on the card reader. The PaperCut app on the printer will open automatically.
