Your idea for the TUBAF of tomorrow—make it happen!
Call for Student Involvement to Mark the 20th Anniversary of the Dr. Erich-Krüger-Stiftung at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg
Do you have an idea that would make life at TUBAF better - more social, more vibrant, more sustainable? Then now is the perfect time to turn that idea into action.
To celebrate the anniversary of the Dr. Erich-Krüger-Stiftung, we invite all students and PhD-candidates to contribute an idea and actively shape the university life you wish for. The range of projects is wide. The main thing is that it contributes to the university as a living space.
What happens after you apply?
The jury will select the three best project ideas. Each will receive a prize of 500 euros.
If your idea impresses us, we’ll support you with a workshop on October 2, 2026: You’ll develop your project, build a team, and learn how to turn an idea into real impact.
The Grand Finale
The winning ideas will be publicly presented and honored during the celebrations on October 27, 2026. Your idea will take center stage.

What makes an idea a good one?
A strong project meets the following criteria:
- The idea benefits as many students as possible - from various fields of study.
- It is implemented on the TUBAF campus.
- It noticeably enriches academic studies or campus life.
- It is concrete and can be implemented within one year.
- Implementation does not require significant financial resources.
- The workload for TUBAF staff and, if applicable, the Student Services Organization is manageable.
- You are actively involved yourselves—the project thrives on your commitment.
What You'll Gain from this contest
You’ll become creators of your own environment, receive support and encouragement as you put your ideas into action, and gain real-world experience in bringing about change. That’s exactly what matters later on.
