Until 31 March 2026, prospective students can still apply for bachelor's and diploma degree programmes at TU Bergakademie Freiberg for the summer semester. The university offers numerous admission-free degree programmes in the fields of engineering, geosciences and environmental sciences, natural sciences, mathematics and computer science as well as economics. TU Bergakademie Freiberg was recently named Germany's most popular university with under 5,000 students in the "StudyCheck" comparison portal.

The application is made entirely online via the university's application portal. New from the summer semester is the Diploma programme in Law and Economics, which combines economics and law content.

The Central Student Advisory Service at TU Bergakademie Freiberg offers support in choosing a degree programme or in the application process. The WIN orientation programme can also be a good option for anyone who is still unsure after completing their A-levels. "Many people already have their A-levels in the bag, but are still not sure which degree programme really suits them. That's exactly what our WIN orientation programme is for," explains Maike Baudach from the Central Student Advisory Service. "Here, prospective students can attend a wide variety of courses, gain insights into different subject areas and get to know everyday life at TU Freiberg - before deciding on a degree programme in the winter semester or the following summer semester. Credit points earned in the orientation programme can be credited towards a further degree course."
