Today we can introduce a new team member at our chair! Maha Assarzadeh will join the chair as part of the research group "Human-Machine Systems". In her future work, she will focus on research in the field of using machine learning and artificial intelligence to develop a design and evaluation platform for human-machine systems (e.g. exoskeletons).
After completing her Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and her Master's degree in Computer Science, she worked for six years as a research assistant at Chemnitz University of Technology, where she is currently completing her PhD. Her research focusses on AI time series prediction and training neural networks with label noise. During her PhD, she worked on cognitive human-machine interaction (KOMTI) projects to recognise passenger discomfort in highly automated vehicles. Furthermore, she investigated the reasons for misclassification of bird calls and the explainability of AI models in the software BirdNET.
We are happy to welcome Maha and wish her a wonderful time at our chair
