Once you have decided on a subject, the next step is to choose a Degree. TUBAF offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and Diplom Degrees.

Help with making a decision – WIN Foundation Programme

The WIN Foundation Programme at TUBAF offers students the opportunity, over two semesters, to individually tailor and explore course content from the fields of Business and law, engineering and natural sciences, tailored to your own needs and to try them out.

WIN Orientation Programme

Prospective international students

TUBAF offers over 65 Bachelor’s, Diplom and Master’s degree programmes, primarily taught in German. For German-language degree programmes, prospective international students must meet the language requirements and have passed a language test.

In addition, prospective international students can apply for an English-language Master’s degree programme.

Students have rated the TU Bergakademie Freiberg as the best small university in Germany. By taking first place in the ranking of the most popular universities with fewer than 5,000 students, they secured the ‘StudyCheck Award 2026’ for the Freiberg university. This top ranking is based on an analysis by the comparison portal ‘StudyCheck’ and thus on the students’ own reviews. The result reflects the innovative teaching, personalised support and practical relevance of the STEM degree programmes at TU Bergakademie Freiberg.

Student Ambassador Programme

Are you studying at TU Bergakademie Freiberg and enjoying your degree; do you like the university and the university town?

Then become a student ambassador and:

  • tell pupils at your former secondary school about your day-to-day student life, your experiences in choosing a degree programme, and provide information on the degree programmes
  • help pupils with their university choices

Who are we looking for?

  • Students at TU Bergakademie Freiberg who are highly committed and have an open and easy-going manner
  • Students who enjoy interacting with people and are happy to answer questions about university life

What do we offer?

  • Provision of information materials and TU clothing
  • Travel expenses reimbursed
