From Tuesday, 31 March 2026, terra mineralia, the mineral collection of TU Bergakademie Freiberg, will be offering a new marketing ticket: with a combined ticket for terra mineralia and the Krügerhaus purchased at terra mineralia, the reduced admission price will apply to the geoscientific collections. Once the ticket has been issued, visitors have two whole working days to visit all the collections.

The geoscientific collections in the Abraham-Gottlob-Werner-Bau are organised thematically into seven sub-collections and are among the ten oldest and largest geoscientific collections in the world. With 3,500 minerals, gemstones and meteorites on an exhibition area of 1,500 square metres, terra mineralia is one of the largest and most beautiful mineral exhibitions in the world. The focus of the Pohl-Stöher mineral foundation on display is on minerals in the quality of cabinet specimens from all over the world, organised by continent and country. The specimens are characterised above all by their variety, beauty and perfection. The wealth of colours and shapes as well as the quality and size of the objects is unique. In the immediate vicinity is the Krügerhaus with the exhibition "Mineralogical Collection Germany" on an exhibition area of 400 square metres, in which the minerals from Germany of various donors and lenders are exhibited.

This means that the world's largest coherent complex of collections and exhibitions with and on minerals is located in the university town of Freiberg - and attracts tens of thousands of interested visitors every year.

From Tuesday, 31 March 2026, the new marketing ticket will be available to visitors. With a combined ticket for terra mineralia and the Krügerhaus purchased at terra mineralia, the reduced admission price (€1.50) applies to the geosciences collections. The tickets are valid for two working days from the date of issue.
