Acquisition of additional certificate "Engineer for gas, heat and energy technology"
As part of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Industrial Engineering and Management, Environmental Engineering, Energy Technology and Mechanical Engineering, the corresponding certificate can be obtained in addition to the "Master of Science"/"Diplomingenieur" degree.
- Depending on the degree programme, modules from the standard curriculum are required
- Additional modules
The certificate as a "door opener"
The certificate attests to in-depth training across the entire cross-section of gas, heating and energy technology. It allows the professional title "engineer" to be retained even for Bachelor's and Master's degrees and serves as a "door opener" when starting a career in the industry.
Required modules
The required training programme has been coordinated and created as part of a cooperation agreement with the DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water), in which around 2000 companies in the industry are organised. The course content takes into account the ideas/wishes of important representatives of the energy sector.
