Excursions

For students from the 5th semester of the diploma degree programmes "Geotechnics, Mining and GeoEnergy Systems" (expiring) or "Geoengineering" (since WiSe 2023/24) in the specialisation "Mining" or for all part-time students (e.g. mine surveying students) who will pass the "Complex Examination Underground Mining", the cahiroffers day excursions every winter semester. In accordance with the study and examination regulations, a certain number of day excursions must be attended and completed with an excursion report. In addition, major excursions abroad are usually offered every two years in summer/autumn during the lecture-free period.

The announcement, registration and detailed information on the day trips and excursions abroad are published via the OPAL course "Organisation Bergbau-Tiefbau".

Internships

For students from the 7th semester of the diploma degree programmes "Geotechnics, Mining and Geoenergy Systems" (expiring) or "Geoengineering" (since WiSe 2023/24) in the specialisation "Mining" or for all part-time students (e.g. mine surveying students) who will pass the "Complex Examination Underground Mining", the professorship offers day internships in the "Reiche Zeche" Research and Training Mine every winter semester. In accordance with the study and examination regulations, a certain number of day internships must be attended and completed with an internship report. In addition, students must complete a 120-shift industrial internship on their own initiative, which can alternatively be completed via the Saxon Mining Authority as part of the "Beflissenenausbildung" programme.

  • Anchoring and ventilation technology
  • Mine Rescue exercises
