Ceremonial farewells and university ball

November 2 is all about festivity! Starting at at 10:00 a.m., the doors of the Alte Mensa will be opened for the graduates' farewell ceremony. Immediately afterwards, fellow students and friends can say goodbye to each other on the Obermarkt.

Parallel to the get-together on the central square in front of the town hall, the second festive program has already begun in the Alte Mensa. The graduates and post-docs of the graduation year 2024 will be honored.

To end this special day in full, the red carpets will be rolled out at the Tivoli Freiberg. The annual University Ball combined with a graduation party is the perfect place to get dressed up once again.  If you want to dance to classics from your student days or your favorite music, the additional DJ floor is the place to be.

Graduates/doctoral and post-doctoral students of the final year will automatically receive an invitation in mid-August. Prior registration is required for participation in the respective farewell parties and can be made from mid-August. 

The University and Graduate Ball is open to all dance enthusiasts. The Ticket sales start in mid-August via the Tivoli Freiberg.
