- Insect groups: Hemiptera - cicadas (Auchenorrhyncha), bugs (Heteroptera)
- Habitats: Post-mining landscapes as well as grassland, hedges, forest edges, orchards, vineyards
- Aspects: Diversity patterns, structure and dynamics, bioindication
- Quantitative, statistical analysis and visual representation of ecological data
- Bachelor's degree in biology (specialising in organismic biology/zoology and ecology)
