The e-journal Freiberg Ecology online (FECO) (open access) acts for the publication of scientific results of research projects, bachelor and master theses, courses, and meetings of the Biology / Ecology Unit (Institute of Biosciences) at Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg.

• Population and community ecology
• Vegetation ecology / biocrusts
• Phytomining, phytoextraction, phytoremediation
• Management of post-mining landscapes

Publication types:

• Original article: Publication with results of a research project, students´ theses or course
• Data paper: Shorter publication with presentation of results of a research question or a data set
• Special issue (SI): Several publications on a specific topic or a meeting or publication of a comprehensive word
