The Christmas party starts at 6 pm with the start of the Christmas lecture in the SPQ lecture theatre. Three short, Christmassy lectures await you. This will be followed by our Christmas market in the courtyard. In addition to homemade mulled wine and waffles, there will also be delicious food from the grill and our homemade hand bread. Thanks to the support of the Friends and Supporters of TUBAF e.V., we can offer you some of the food free of charge! Tents are available, so nobody will get wet if the weather is bad! :)"

In order to improve their chances of gaining a popular doctoral position, the gifted experimenter Phileus Fogg and the determined theorist Jeanne Passepartout are keen to gain as much experience as possible in the last eight days before the Christmas party. This drives them both out of Freiberg on a trip to visit Prof Verne's fellow students, who are scattered all over the world. But where they end up and what they experience there presents them with unknown challenges. In order to overcome these, they both have to broaden their horizons. Because as Prof Verne always says: 'It makes sense to travel if you want to see new things'."
