The charging of fees is governed by the TU Bergakademie Freiberg's University Fees and Charges Regulations dated 12 September 2022.
Payment of fees
Fees can be paid in cash or by card during our service hours, Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., at the information desk on the first floor.
A fee of 16 € is charged for the issue of a library card for external users.
Fees are charged per media unit if the loan period is exceeded. This also applies to borrowed media ordered via interlibrary loan.

NOTE:
A user account is automatically blocked if outstanding fees exceed the amount of €50.00 or fees are more than six months overdue.
The blocking also includes the use of services in the University Library.
If you have lost or damaged an item, please contact the staff at the information desk immediately.
In addition to the cost of replacement, an administration fee will be charged. The decision to replace the item lies with the library staff.
Administrative fee for
- processing a replacement copy: 20.00 €
- discarding a lost item: 10.00 € plus book price
Interlibrary loan
- Processing fee per order: 1.50 €
- Fees for exceeding the loan period: according to the regular late fees
Avoid fees
To avoid late fees, you can get an overview of your borrowed items in your library account and check the end of the loan period.
