The Formula Student Team Racetech from TU Bergakademie Freiberg has been utilising the prototyping infrastructure of the MSE Lab over the past few weeks. In our electronics laboratory, the circuit boards for the new battery management system (BMS) were assembled using the semi-manual assembly system and then soldered in the reflow oven. At the same time, housings for the battery cells were created from flame-retardant polycarbonate (PC) on our 3D printers. We are delighted to be able to support the team in the production of its season electronics and wish Racetech every success in the upcoming competition.
