On 18 December, the Christmas lecture took place at 18:15 with the baking of student Christmas biscuits.
Prof. Dr.-.Matthias Kröger presented the difficult starting point for baking treats and offered various solutions for creating fine and delicious treats.
Initial situation
Christmas biscuits (biscuits) are part of the Christmas season, but:
- Only a small selection of technical aids is available in the student household.
- Usually only a few ingredients are available.
- Students have limited time to prepare (kneading, cutting, baking).
Aims
- Preparation process with few technical aids (soup plate, board, fork, spoon, knife,
no scales, no mixer)
- Alternatives for students without an oven (microwave or waffle iron)
- Recipes with few, ingredients (margarine, (cane) sugar, flour, trail mix, egg, optional gingerbread spice or cinnamon & cloves)
- Short preparation time (5 min until friends come over)
