Manufacturing copper with glass insulation using a melt extrusion process
The aim of the project is to develop a melt extrusion process for the energy-efficient production of embedded electronic structures. The process is intended to enable the additive manufacturing of hot processable multi-materials. An innovative material concept is being developed for the processing of copper as a highly conductive material and glass as an insulator in a joint manufacturing process.
