Interested researchers at TU Bergakademie Freiberg have until the end of March 2026 to apply for the upcoming funding phase of the TUBAF Innovation Fund (TIF). Information on the funding procedure and how to apply will be available in an online consultation on 13 March.
"Anyone who wants to develop a research idea close to the market and already has results at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 or 5 is invited to pursue this level of maturity with the TIF up to TRL 6 or 7," says Juliane Grahl. "The focus here is on clear exploitation prospects such as licensing, spin-offs or industrial cooperation," says the TIF programme manager.
Through close cooperation with the Central Transfer Office or the SAXEED start-up network, the funding ensures that the projects are geared towards real market needs and have a high chance of commercial exploitation.
- Next online consultation: 13 March at 1 pm
- Submission deadline: 31.03.2026
- Project duration: maximum 12 months
- Total duration of TIF funding: 1. January 2026 to 31 October 2028
- Funding from ERDF funds as part of the FRL validation funding 2021-2027
