The transfer of knowledge on the fundamentals and current technological developments in the field of electrothermal and thermochemical conversion of carbon carriers is at the centre of our training courses for interested parties from industry, science and public authorities. To this end, we have been offering regular intensive training courses with a customised focus since 2005. Our portfolio includes a detailed introduction to the scientific principles, process routes and technologies on the following topics:
- Chemical recycling
- Pyrolysis / gasification
- Syngas generation
- Syngas purification
- IGCC power plants.
Leading commercialised technologies for the conversion of carbon carriers are covered in detail and various simulation and evaluation tools (e.g. LCA, TEA) are presented. Using our extensive research infrastructure, course participants can familiarise themselves with modern analysis and investigation technology on site and visit our large-scale test facilities. We offer optional excursions to specialist facilities outside our site.
The courses are aimed at:
- Engineers, technicians, managers and R&D staff from industrial companies
- Scientists from research institutions and
- Employees from public authorities and administrations who are concerned with sustainability, the circular economy and decarbonisation and who would like to update and expand their knowledge of innovative carbon value chains, alternative input materials and conversion routes.
Thanks to the small groups of participants, you will experience an intensive interactive exchange with each other and with the lecturing experts.
Employees from leading national and international companies from various sectors have taken part in the courses held so far, including ArcelorMittal, Alstom, BASF, Covestro, Ebara, EDL, E.ON, Haldor Topsoe, Hydro Oil and Energy, Inovyn, Johnson Matthey, Linde, MAN, MOL, RWE, Saint Gobain, Shell, Siemens, Total, VNG, BGR ...
Please find more information and the course schedule for the next Compact Course on Chemical Recycling: Pyrolysis and Gasification from November 5-6, 2024.
