Together with several partners, we are working to better understand the release of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) from soils into the tributaries of drinking water reservoirs.

Using high-resolution analytical methods, new process models, and machine learning, the project aims to establish an energy-centered characterization of biomass in order to improve our biogeochemical understanding of anoxic zones in lakes and bogs.
