Election of the doctoral student representation

The accepted doctoral candidates elect a doctoral candidate representative. Every accepted doctoral candidate is entitled to vote and be elected. Rights to which someone is entitled due to membership of a member group in accordance with Section 51 (1) sentence 1 SächsHSG remain unaffected. A minimum of five and a maximum of nine members must be elected. The term of office of the members of the Doctoral Council is two years and begins with the constituent meeting of the Doctoral Council. This meeting must be held within four weeks of the final election results being publicly announced by the University (in accordance with Section 9 (2)). Re-election is possible.

Directory of voters

Members of the doctoral student body of TU Bergakademie Freiberg are eligible to vote (active voting right) in accordance with §14 (1) GrundO. Anyone who is a member of the doctoral student body of TU Bergakademie Freiberg in accordance with Section 14 (1) of the Basic Regulations of TU Bergakademie Freiberg 20 days before the election is eligible to vote (passive right to vote). The right to vote is checked on the basis of the list of declarations of intent of the Graduate and Research Academy (GraFA). In addition, proof of membership of TU Bergakademie is required by presenting a current student or employee ID card. A ballot paper will only be handed out if a member of the mandate verification and counting commission has established the voter's right to vote.
