Fairtrade means fairer trading conditions, fair prices for producers, and more sustainable global supply chains. TUBAF is committed to raise awareness of fair trade on campus and bring sustainable consumption to life. To this end, we cordially invite all students and staff to a “Fairtrade-Chocolate-Tasting.”
When? June 16, 2026, 11:15 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Where? Foyer of the Neue Mensa
What makes it special: Participants will vote to decide which variety will be offered as the official TUBAF-Chocolate in the future and used as a university merchandise item.
In addition to the Fairtrade-Chocolate-Tasting, the event also offers the opportunity to learn more about Fairtrade, sustainable consumption, and global supply chains.
The event is supported by the Environment Working Group, EURECA-PRO, and the Fairtrade-Town Freiberg Initiative, which will provide information about their work and Fairtrade in everyday life and engage in conversation with visitors.
The Environment Working Group and EURECA-PRO support numerous activities in the field of sustainability and, among other things, develop educational programs and modules on sustainability topics. The Fairtrade-Town Freiberg Initiative has been committed to promote Fairtrade in Freiberg for a decade.
Take the chance to taste high-quality chocolate, gain fascinating insights into the world of fair trade, and select the future TUBAF chocolate.
Come on by! We look forward to see you!
