1st SynFe symposium on iron catalysts for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and methanation held at our institute

The first SynFe symposium on the latest scientific progress in the field of Fe-catalyzed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and methanation has been held at our institute on 26th and 27th of February. Around 25 international participants from academia and industry discussed about active Fe phases, reaction mechanisms, reaction dynamics and possible technical applications such as SAF, alcohol and olefin production. We thank all participants for joining the symposium and discussing all the scientific aspects. We also acknowledge the speakers for their excellent contributions and insights, in particular Laura Krausser (LIKAT, Rostock), Dr. Erik Reichelt (Fraunhofer IKTS, Dresden), Dr. Johannes Thiessen (University of Bayreuth), Dr. Jens Friedland (University of Ulm) as well as Christian Schmidt and Alexander Groß (both from our institute). With all the positive resonance gained we look forward for the second SynFe symposium.
