The Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBAF) is launching its own Monopoly game. In a limited special edition, players can discover the university in a completely new way - with typical buildings, traditions and characters from university life in Freiberg. This makes TUBAF the only university in Germany to have designed its own special edition of the popular board game.

The TUBAF Monopoly is published in German and English and was designed especially for the university. Instead of the familiar street names, playing fields lead through the university's central buildings and facilities - from the main building to the Reichen Zeche. The game pieces are also individually designed and reflect the flair of the Bergakademie: in addition to a pair of angels, there is also a student, a professor and St Barbara.

Even the details are coordinated with the university: The dice appear in university blue with white dots, the houses are based on the winding tower of the Reichen Zeche colliery, and the packaging bears the exclusive "Limited Edition" note.

"With the TUBAF Monopoly, we want to bring our university to life in a playful way - for students, employees, alumni and friends of TUBAF," explains Prof Tobias Fieback from the team that launched the TUBAF Monopoly.

The special edition is available for 45 euros from the TUBAF online university shop or from the university shop at terra mineralia Freiberg.
