We are pleased to announce the successful Degree of our group leader for "Human-Machine Systems", David, at his former university FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg at KTmfk - Chair of Design Engineering.

In his dissertation entitled "Simulative design of wearable support systems using musculoskeletal human models using the example of an ankle orthosis", David investigated the use of musculoskeletal human models for the design of wearable support systems and developed in detail a new approach to interaction modelling that takes into account the effects of biological soft tissue on the interaction between human and product. This is a significant contribution to both academic research and practical application.
