From June 2026, we will be making important changes to the TUBAF mail system, that will affect sending emails with a TUBAF sender address via external providers.
The introduction of the new security system (DMARC) prevents attackers from using email addresses of TUBAF members on the internet.
In future, emails with a TUBAF sender address (ending with @[department].tu-freiberg.de) can only be sent via the TUBAF email system.
If you currently use external service providers with a TUBAF email address (e.g. for newsletters), please contact our IT Service Desk.
The roll-out of DMARC starts in June and will take several months. We will keep you informed about the progress on this page. If you have any questions, please contact the IT Service Desk.
Please note: Outlook, Thunderbird & Co. are email clients that are solely responsible for managing email communication and can still be used.
