Univ.Prof. Dr Marcus Wiens holds the Chair of General Business Administration, in particular Innovation and Risk Management at the Faculty of Economics at the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg and is also a Principal Investigator at the Institute for Information Security and Reliability (KASTEL) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
His research and work focuses on economic and systemic risk and innovation management, critical infrastructure protection (in particular cyber security) and cooperative approaches to risk and innovation management. Methodologically, he works with approaches from operations research, game theory, experimental behavioural research (behavioural economics) and empirical surveys. His research is both fundamentally orientated and interdisciplinary with a practical focus.
