IWTG Colloquium: Herrenleite Light Railway Museum
The museum aims to document the history of light railways in East Germany as an industrial, rail-bound means of transport. The lecture will shed light on how the museum works as a purely volunteer-run technical museum under the auspices of an association. On the one hand, this structure offers advantages over full-time, publicly run institutions, but on the other hand, it also has its limitations.
