Europe's Lithium Paradox: Film screening with panel discussion
In the documentary "Europe's Lithium Paradox", scientist Dr Peter Tom Jones from KU Leuven uncovers the roots of the paradox between increasing lithium demand, geopolitical dependencies and Europe's need for an own sustainable mining industry on a journey through the continent.
The English-language film was produced as part of EU research projects at the KU Leuven and will be shown during the scientific conference ReMining 2025 in Freiberg. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Dr Peter Jones. Panellists include local authorities, industry partners, NGO representatives and other participants.
Interested parties are invited - entrance is free.
