Reinstallation of the eduroam configuration for MacOS
On 9 December 2025, the certificates previously used for eduroam login will lose their validity.
It is therefore necessary to install an updated eduroam configuration on all end devices.
To do this, it is necessary to create a new eduroam password for each device.
Step 1: Download configuration file
Download the latest version of the eduroam configuration file from the eduroam-CAT portal.
Step 2: Create app password
Log in to the Service Portal and create a new app password for eduroam.
Copy this to the clipboard and close the dialogue window.
Step 3: Remove the previous eduroam configuration
Open the system settings and navigate to the Wi-Fi settings.
Remove the previous eduroam profile here.
Step 4: Include new configuration file in system settings
The newly downloaded profile from the step is displayed in the tray at the bottom right. Install this and, if prompted, the DFN Community PKI certificate.
Use your login followed by @tu-freiberg.de and the app password generated in the Service Portal for this device as the user name.
