In Croatia in 2003, 2004 and 2005, the final training to become a Scientific Diver took place at the end of August / beginning of September as well as scientific examinations as part of qualification work. The training was then carried out in Panarea from 2006 onwards.

In the years 2003 to 2005, underwater investigations were carried out in Croatia for 2 diploma theses and 4 student research projects. The topics of the qualification theses were submarine karst water ingress, mapping of the steep face, influence of tourism on water quality and underwater flora and fauna as well as method development.

In 2019, 2022 and 2023, the training was also carried out in Sveta Marina.
