In the course of your studies, it may be that you consider a change of course due to changes in interests, other professional goals or the realization that the current course does not meet expectations. Since such a change can also have repercussions, such as longer study periods or different module requirements, students should seek advice at an early stage.

Before changing course, you must re-register and pay the semester fee.
The application to change to another degree programme must be completed in full and submitted to the Student Office of the University before the start of the semester, together with all the required and obtained de-registration endoresements.
The Application
- The application for change of course must be submitted together with the complete application for recognition and transfer of credits.
- Exceptions will be decided by the TUBAF together with the examination board responsible for the degree programme applied for.
- Foreign students may usually only apply for a change of course within the first three semesters of the graduate school.
Note for BAföG Recipients
A change of degree course must be reported to the relevant BAföG office without delay.
