The Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK) provides Georgius Agricola scholarships to attract young specialists and managers for science, business and society in the Free State of Saxony.

The focus of the funding is on students in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (STEM subjects).

 

1. Georgius Agricola Merit Scholarship

The aim of the Georgius Agricola Scholarship Programme is to attract and retain specialists and managers for science, business and society in the Free State of Saxony.
Support is provided to students in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (MINT subjects).
Support is provided to foreign students in diploma and bachelor's degree programmes from the third semester onwards and to foreign students in master's degree programmes from the second semester onwards who have achieved outstanding academic results.

  • Amount of funding: €300 per month
  • Scholarship period: 1 November 2025 – 31 March 2026
  • Application deadline: 1 November 2025

2. Georgius Agricola Grundstipendium

The TUBAF is offering two scholarships "Georgius Agricola Grundstipendium".

International first-year students from a country of the current DAC country list (link target: oecd.org) who are starting their studies in a Bachelor's or Diploma programme at TUBAF in October 2025.
