Matriculation ceremony to mark the start of the academic year

To mark the start of the winter semester, we warmly invite all new students at TU Bergakademie Freiberg to the Matriculation Ceremony. The event will take place on 20 October 2026 at 2.30 pm in the University Library/Lecture Hall Centre, Winklerstraße 3.

Important information regarding your participation:

• Registration required 
  You can register until 10 October 2026 .
   
• Limited seating capacity
  Lecture Theatre A is reserved for students. Accompanying persons can follow the event via livestream in Lecture Theatre B.
   
• Live stream
  For anyone unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed online. The link to the livestream will be published on this website shortly before the event begins. No registration is required.
   
• Get-together
  Following the academic ceremony, we cordially invite you and your guests to a get-together on the festival lawn in front of the lecture hall complex.
   
• Dies academicus 
  From 1.00 pm, all lectures and classes will be suspended.
   
• Dress code
  Please wear formal attire.
