ITUN at the annual conference of the DECHEMA/VDI working party “Agglomeration and Bulk Handling” in Dresden/Germany

From 16st to 18rd March 2026, the annual meeting of the DECHAMA/VDI working parties “Agglomeration and Bulk Handling” as well as “Multiphase flows” and “Computational Fluid Dynamics” took place at TU Dresden in Dresden/Germany. ITUN contributed one presentation and one poster in the field of agglomeration.

Dr. Franz Fehse presented a poster on the topic “Hot briquetting of directly reduced iron with variable carbon content and degree of metallization”, which addressed results of the EU-funded HBI C-Flex project (external link to the official website of the project: HBI C-Flex).

Dr. Laura Lohmeier gave a lecture entitled with “Development of recycling strategies by agglomeration for shifting residue streams connected to the green transformation in steel industry”. The presentation showed results of a sub-project of SusMet4Planet as part of K1-MET.
