TU Bergakademie Freiberg is committed to protecting tree species and is involved in the reforestation of degraded forests in Saxony and the Global South. Every winter semester, the university supports and finances the planting and cultivation of young trees for every newly enrolled student and every new employee in 2023. Every year, committed members of the university and citizens of Freiberg can take part in the planting campaign in Freiberg's city forest.
