From now on, visitors to terra mineralia at Freudenstein Castle will not only learn about the exciting world of minerals. Interested visitors can now also find out more about the TU Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBAF). In addition to information material about studying in Freiberg, a newly designed information area also offers all items from the university shop, from high-quality clothing to mugs and cups to stationery.

"The sales items in the TUBAF design not only look beautiful, they are also very practical and an advertising medium for our university and city," says terra mineralia Managing Director Andrea Riedel. Dr Sabine Schellbach, who is responsible for university marketing, adds: "The lounge area on the ground floor of terra mineralia is also ideal for finding out more about the degree programmes at Freiberg University with a wide range of brochures and flyers. The university presents itself exactly where visitors are and draws their attention to the attractive opportunities to positively change the world of tomorrow by studying in Freiberg."

The new area designed by the university is the second innovation in the anniversary year of terra mineralia. In May, the signposting system to the exhibition was improved with new window panelling in the castle courtyard. A celebratory event in September will shed light on the past and present of the mineral exhibition at TU Bergakademie Freiberg, which has been presenting minerals from all over the world at Freudenstein Castle for 15 years.
