Two ERASMUS+ students from TUBAF taught pupils from Geschwister-Scholl Gymnasium Freiberg the language and culture of their home country, France.

This somewhat different French lesson gave the Year 7 pupils the opportunity to improve their language skills through a direct exchange with the two native speakers. The two French students from the Université de Lille had brought a lot of informations to their visit to the secondary school - and had prepared an interactive quiz themselves. The questions ranged from cultural specialities to general knowledge about France.

Reyan and Nano are studying in an exchange semester in Freiberg and are taking part in the "International Students in Schools" project.

Reyan and Nano are part of the ERASMUS+ programme, which promotes the exchange of students between European universities. This winter semester, they are studying for a Master's degree in Metallic Materials Technology. They are also taking part in the "International Students in Schools" project organised by the university's International Office. Their stay at TUBAF not only offers them the opportunity to expand their specialist knowledge, but also to gain intercultural experience.

Ingrid Lange, Director of the International Office, emphasises the importance of such intercultural exchange programmes: "Visiting our French exchange students in French lessons is a valuable experience for both sides. International exchange is a central component of our educational philosophy at TUBAF and helps to broaden the intercultural perspectives of our students and prepare them for future challenges."
