We congratulate this year's award winners on receiving the Georgius Agricola Medal! The best graduates of the six faculties are traditionally honoured with the Georgius Agricola Medal of the Verein der Freunde und Förderer der TU Bergakademie Freiberg. This year, the students Rico Hager and Lucas Neubert and the students Undine Fleischmann, Selina Grundel, Laura Mundel and Claudia Peuker will be honoured.

Congratulations from Faculty 3!

Laura Mundel, a student from Faculty 3 of the Master's degree programme in Geophysics, was awarded the Georgius Agricola Medal for her outstanding academic achievements. The title of her Master's thesis is "Evaluation and modelling of carbon dioxide injection in wells of depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs/aquifers from a geophysical point of view". The award was presented at the end of the academic year and the graduation ceremony on 4 November 2023. The prize, named after the humanist and mining expert Georgius Agricola, is awarded annually for outstanding academic achievements and commitment worthy of distinction and is endowed with 250 euros.
