The Freiberg University Forum is entering its anniversary round: this congress of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg took place for the first time 75 years ago, back then as the Berg- und Hüttenmännischer Tag - BHT.
The BHT covers a wide range of topics: From 5 to 7 June 2024, researchers will discuss topics such as autonomous micromobiles and robots, the recycling of silicon-containing materials, challenges in 3D printing of glass, the use of bio-based residues and the circular economy value chain in 15 colloquia held in German or English. Around 1,000 registrations have already been received; interested parties can still register directly on site at the conference office.
Some of the English-language colloquia will also be broadcast to partner universities in various developing and emerging countries so that students and doctoral students there can also take part.
Public lecture: Energy self-sufficiency for prosperity and climate justice
On June, 6 2024 at 6 pm in the Alte Mensa (Petersstr. 5), TUBAF invites interested citizens to the free Krügerkolloquium. The topic is "The energy self-sufficiency of a district as a driving force for prosperity and climate justice". The speaker is Bertram Fleck, lawyer and former district administrator of the Rhine-Hunsrück district from 1989 to 2015.
