Workshop (GraFa): Conflict Management in Science

The establishment, development and management of scientific working groups, professorships and institutes present managers with challenges of a different nature, such as building new teams, managing change processes in existing structures, as well as individually different perceptions and needs of employees. In addition, the "rules of the game" in science and higher education differ from the conditions in other organizations and leadership issues as well as dealing with conflicts require adapted strategies.
In the workshop for tenure-track professors, working group leaders and postdocs, Prof. Dr. Sascha Weigel works in a competence- and case-oriented manner using concrete situations and questions of the participants as examples. In preparation for the workshop, participants will be offered the opportunity to bring in questions and cases in order to work out strategies for dealing with them in the workshop.
