Under the motto "Streets are for everyone", a colourful children's bicycle demo will take place in Freiberg on Friday, September 22, 2023. The so-called KIDICAL MASS brings children and sustainable mobility into focus.
The Kidical Mass is a worldwide movement - from Canada to Pakistan, more than 150,000 people in over 500 locations got on their bikes and took over the streets during the days of action in May 2023. From metropolitan regions to rural areas, children, parents, friends and schools campaigned for child- and bicycle-friendly places, safe routes to school and independent mobility. The conference of transport ministers in March supports a reform of the StVG and StVO, also with a focus on child-friendly mobility. The movement is supported by the ADFC, the German Children's Fund and Greenpeace, among others.
As part of the action days in September, we also want to set an example in Freiberg and invite you to the Kidical Mass on September 22, 2023 at 4 pm from/to Schlossplatz. The route will be about 3 km long. Dress up in colourful clothes, put on your helmet and let us become part of this movement!
