Saxony 1923 - The Left Republican Project A Missed Chance for Weimar Democracy?

Lecture followed by discussion

Speaker Prof. Pohl looks at Saxony (and Thuringia), where left-wing republican projects "alarmed" politicians and the public. Unlike in the case of right-wing movements, military intervention was immediately called in - the Reich government sent in the army to prevent a "German October". But was democracy really at risk?

Speaker: Prof. Dr. phil. Karl Heinrich Pohl, CAU Kiel
