On Friday, May 09^th 2025, the 5^th Freiberg Energy Transition Congress will take place in the Alten Mensa in Freiberg under the motto "Energy Supply of German Industry in the Tension Field Between Climate Protection, Supply Security, and Competitiveness". It is a one-day event in which various stakeholders from science, politics and business come together to discuss current developments in the energy transition.

The aim is to present developments and challenges of the energy transition in interdisciplinary presentations and to discuss them within the auditorium, taking into account technical, economic and social aspects.
