Johann Sebastian Bach and Gottfried Silbermann: these two names still make the hearts of music lovers from all over the world beat faster. 300 years ago, they shaped the musical world from central Germany and created sound ideals that are still valid today - one with his compositions, the other with his masterful organs. This year, the Silbermann Days, one of the most important festivals around the organ, are dedicated to these two geniuses.
Masterful instruments, top-class concerts and always new ideas - since 1978, the Silbermann Days have shaped the region between Freiberg, Dresden and the Ore Mountains like no other music festival. With their deep roots in the region and its history, but also the courage to take innovative formats and push the boundaries, the Silbermann Days bridge the gap between tradition and modernity and connect generations of music and organ lovers all over the world.
