Pi-ONIK Club Film Crime Scene Episode 383: "Manila"

After the summer slump, the ePi-zentrum e.V. again invites you to the weekly club film evening. Today, 05.09.2023, the 383rd Tatort episode "Manila" will be shown at 8 pm in the Stadtwirtschaft: TV movie / Germany / 1998

In "Manila" the two detective detectives from Cologne, Max Ballauf (Klaus J. Behrendt) and Freddy Schenk (Dietmar Bär), have to solve a case of child trafficking between the Philippines and Germany. The first broadcast of Manila on 19 April 1998 was seen by a total of 8.61 million viewers in Germany.

The film is part of Freiberg's Fairtrade Town annual campaign on children's rights & fair trade. The screening follows the performance of the musical "Once we had a dream" on 02 September 2023 in the Nikolaikirche. In it, Filipino girls and boys tell their own life stories as well as their hopes and dreams.

After the film, there will be a round of talks to introduce the PREDA Freundeskreis e.V. and its activities.
