Conquer the university city with the TUBAFcard!
Are you new to the university? Then you can look forward to your welcome gift when you start your studies at TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
All newly enrolled students receive the TUBAFcard when they start their studies. The card is topped up with a credit of €40.00 and can be redeemed at over 80 locations in Freiberg - shops, catering and leisure facilities. With the TUBAFcard, you can experience the university city of Freiberg in all its facets.
An extra with the TUBAFcard: You can use it to collect the Unisport-Schnuppercard free of charge and try out various sports courses at the start of your studies. You will need to show your student ID to collect the card.
All about the TUBAFcard for first-year students
How do I get the TUBAFcard?
First-semester students of the summer semester 2024 will receive the card:
- at the information exchange at the start of studies on 2 April 2024 in Prüferstraße 4
- in the admissions office in Akademiestraße 6 on the ground floor during opening hours: Tuesday: 13:00 to 15:30 and Thursday: 09:00 to 11:30
First-semester students for the winter semester 2024 will receive the card:
- at the information fair for the start of studies on 2 October 2024 in the new lecture hall. October 2024 in the new lecture hall centre / university library
- at the admissions office in Akademiestraße 6 on the ground floor during opening hours: Tuesday: 13:00 to 15:30 and Thursday: 09:00 to 11:30
Are there any additional costs for me?
No, the card is topped up with €40.00. The credit can be redeemed at co-operating locations in the city of Freiberg.
