Topic: How to develop Business Ideas with the Business Model Canvas
In our Business Model Canvas (BMC) workshop, participants learn to use the BMC tool for business model development.
The BMC consists of nine key building blocks, including Customer Segments, Value Propositions, Channels, Customer Relationships, Revenue Streams, Key Resources, Key Activities, Key Partnerships, and Cost Structure. The participants identify and define customer segments and the unique value proposition for each. Moreover, participants map out channels and customer relationships, exploring how the business will reach and engage its customers. They also delve into revenue streams and the sources of income aligned with the value provided. Key resources, activities, and partnerships essential for delivering the value proposition are identified. Understanding the cost structure is crucial to balance with revenue streams.
Workshop exercises involve applying the BMC to real or hypothetical business scenarios. This hands-on approach reinforces learning and encourages practical application. Participants grasp that the BMC is not static but a dynamic tool requiring iterative adjustments as the business evolves. They analyze the BMC to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, facilitating informed decision-making. Overall, the workshop equips them with a structured framework for refining business models, fostering innovation, and enhancing strategic thinking.
